I need a break from art for a while now. Because this killed me a little on the inside. *dies* I cannot believe that I spent 3 days on this. 3. DAYS. Way to long in my book (and no, not 3 full days...I broke them up into 5-hour sessions. Ugh.) I recently downloaded Gimp 2.8 and had this brilliant idea to play around with it to see what I could do with it. Well, it's a pretty neat program to say the least. Not Photoshop, but it will do just as nicely But good grief, I'm so glad it's DONE. I don't have to worry about it anymore
Anyway, onto the real description.
The fox portrayed is my alter-ego, Sierra, and this is the second digital drawing that I've ever done. And no, unfortunately not with a tablet, as I'm still lacking that bit of technology, so everything was done with the good 'ol mouse. I was aiming for realistic/cartoony mix here, and I think I achieved it (or tried to for that matter). Sorry if anything looks a bit funky with it, as I've stared at this thing for so long, I don't know what to think anymore I mostly took the approach of slapping some color on a white piece of canvas paper that the program provides for you, and messed around with that. I spent the longest time on perfecting the eyes and nose, as they where the most challenging thing to draw in this piece. But I really enjoyed doing the eyes, as they just give life to a piece of work like nothing else can I'm fairly satisfied with how it turned out, though, I'm still new to digital media, so I'm going to go ahead and call it a practice piece
my fursona Blaze is a skilled fighter, but where he is from, he has to be. *sigh* wouldnt it be awesome if we could become our fursonas at will? id be blaze perpetually
My fursona was born with her personality But she was more or less forced into using it a few times in her past. I have future plans to reveal more of her past somewhere down the line, so people can get a better understanding of my character, and why/who she is the way she is
Oh my, I'm not sure on that one! I love Sierra, but good gosh, I could only stand being her for so long before I would get sick of it...though, I wish I could borrow some of her confidence and bravery at will, yes yes
