A Tiger's Words
I am the Tiger
I am like a ghost
I disappear into the shadows
Can you fear what you cannot see?
Some say they do not fear me
That I simply do not exist…
I am very much Alive
I am Fear itself
What is Fear?
Is it something you can control?
Is it something you can defeat?
I see it in my prey's eyes, when they spot me too late
And when they flee, their scent reeks of it, that fear-scent
It is overpowering, overwhelming, like a huge wave that swallows up everything in its path
The Fear seems to decide their fate, like a merciless execution
What is Fear?
Is it something you can control?
Is it something you can defeat?
I think not
I am the Tiger
I stalk by night, moving among the shadows and blending with them like the liquid killer that I am
I am invisible to my prey and my enemies
The night and I are one
I am the darkness itself
I am the Tiger
My strength is legendary, yet I walk as silently as a whisper, as lightly as a breath
My voice is thunderous and awesome; with it, I remind the world who is King
My great roar seems to split the sky and release the storms from within
My sharpened teeth are like white knives; they gleam brightly in the moonlight. When I smile, even the boldest of my enemies are brought to their knees
I see clearly in the night, as if it were day
My eyes shine like an eerie light in the darkness
They glow and glisten when they spot their target. They are like a separate living creature
They almost seem to be not of this world
I am the Tiger
Who dares approach me unarmed?
Who dares tempt my rage?
Can you make a pet out of me?
Or teach me to be gentle?
Can you make me submit to you?
Or make me beg for mercy?
Will you threaten to take my life?
Can you force me to become your slave?
Or make me speak to you with gentle words?
Woe to him who dares lay a hand on me!
For they will remember what I am and never do it again!
I am the Tiger
I do not fear the man with the sword
I laugh at the rattling of the lance
Arrows do not alarm me
Clubs do not make me retreat in fear
For I knew about the ways of a hunter before man walked the earth
I am at home among fire
For from it I was born
I am beautiful, yet deadly
And every creature that sees me trembles in fear
The mighty are terrified before me
The proud lower their heads in submission
The vicious turned as meek as a kitten
The powerful made weak before me
I am the Tiger
