The Gift

This idea came to me last night, when I was eating dinner with my stepsister and brother, and they had invited their significant other over to eat too. There was one point in conversation where they were discussing what types of things each had planned for the other for Valentines Day, and a thought occurred to me (and quite randomly too): If people give each other roses for V-day, how would that look for an animal? 

So I sketched this, and liked it enough to slap some color on it and submit it here. 

Apparently, D.J., being the caring soul that he is, went and got a flower for our dear Sierra….only to find out, painfully later, that the prickly rose he chose _{No rhyme intended} probably wasn't the smartest idea in the world, seeing as foxes have no opposable thumbs and all….

And Sierra's expression is more or less shocked that A) she's actually receiving a gift, or B) She realizes that it takes guts (or something) to decide to bite down on something that lethal….

He'll be pulling' prickers out of his teeth for a while
